Microsoft has revealed that Windows 10 free update for Windows 10 S users has been extended

As the number of users for Windows 10 was increased by the free update provided by Microsoft till last July. Now again its a chance to get update to the users who have not updated yet. The new update period is extended up-to March 2018. Microsoft has some schemes for the users to upgrade on OS. The users who were using Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 were given a chance to update their OS till last July. But now Microsoft still offers updates on OS to the users .

As providing the updates on the OS, one of the update got an extension. The Redmond-based tech giant said that the users using Windows 10 S will have some more time to upgrade to the full version of Windows 10 Pro. The Windows 10 S users will get a free update on the OS till March 2018.

Windows 10 Pro Update

This news was revealed in a Microsoft blog post by by Raphael Aquino Jose, Senior Product Marketing Manager for Surface. Jose said that “Don’t forget that Surface Laptop comes with the streamlined security and performance of Windows 10 S, and verified apps in the Windows Store.” He also added that “For those that find they need an application that isn’t yet available in the Store and must be installed from another source, we’re extending the ability to switch from Windows 10 S to Windows 10 Pro for free until March 31, 2018. We hope this provides increased flexibility for those people searching for the perfect back-to-school or holiday gift.”

The update for Windows 10 will be available till March 2018 for the Windows 10 S users. Jose also states that this will be a Holiday gift for the users. They can get their Windows 10 Pro till March 31, 2018. The users can update the OS before the free update period ends. Users can directly update from the official site or by using the update option available on the OS.
